Welcome

Burgess is the culmination of 150 years of farming tradition in the Napa Valley. From the Swiss-Italian ancestors who first planted our Sorenson Vineyard in the 1800s to our present-day Estate, which features the first promiscuously farmed vineyard in Napa Valley, we strive to create wines of elegance and finesse that honor our roots.

Winemaker Meghan Zobeck is a leader in promiscuous and regenerative farming, which involves co-planting apple trees with the vines to improve the soil health of the vineyard and, in turn, the quality of the wine. She also embraces low-intervention winemaking methods, such as pied de cuve to capture yeast from the vineyard, to craft wines as profound as the terroir they were made from.

Explore the intersection of luxury and environmental standards with a visit to our Estate located only 10 minutes north of Downtown Napa. Stroll through our pollinator gardens before relaxing in our newly designed Provençal-inspired Estate and enjoying wine under the shade of our olive tree grove.
