William’s grandparents arrived in Napa Valley from Ireland in 1922 settling at the base of Howell Mountain later naming the area Deer Park after the family homestead from Ireland. They gravitated towards the well drained rocky soils. They were one of the original grape growers long before Howell Mountain became a world-renowned AVA.Tastings are held at our sister property, William Cole Vineyards in St. Helena. Producing less than 500 cases of exceptional wines from Red Lake Ranch. These intense wines are 100% varietal consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
