This year, the festival has expanded to offer four sessions with smaller group sizes of up to five participants, ensuring personalized attention and interaction. Each guest will receive a copy of A Field Guide to Edible Mushrooms of California to take home.

Attendees can savor delicious truffle quiche bites made with fresh black truffles while learning the basics of mushroom identification, handling, and cooking. Participants will have the opportunity to keep any mushrooms they find, adding an extra thrill to the adventure. Past forays have yielded a variety of fascinating species, including the delicious chanterelles and prized matsutakes.

Grove 45 in Calistoga invites guests to embark on an immersive journey into the world of extra virgin olive oil at Chateau Montelena. Whether you’re an olive oil connoisseur or new to the experience, this unique event offers an opportunity to explore different olive oil styles and regions. Attendees will learn about the olive’s journey from grove to bottle, including cultivation, harvest, and production processes. Additionally, guests will be taught how to evaluate olive oil for quality and flavor, and discover perfect pairings with food and wine.
